The Fokker 50 regional turboprop airliner has excellent reliability and durability in the business aviation segment. This aircraft from the Dutch manufacturer is based on the Fokker F27 and has improved flight performance. A charter flight on Fokker 50 enables travel from London to Stockholm, Paris to Warsaw, or Chicago to New York without transfer.
Charter a Fokker 50 private jet:
Among the differences between the Fokker 50 and previous models are the improved wing, the elongated fuselage, the more powerful and fuel-efficient Pratt-Whitney Canada PW125B engines, and the EDZ-806 digital avionics. Production of the aircraft ceased in 1997, with 213 machines produced during serial production. The Fokker 50’s combination of space and flight characteristics makes it attractive in the business aviation segment. As a result, the manufacturer offers passengers an aircraft with greater fuel efficiency, high fuel economy, and improved noise insulation.
The Fokker 50 meets all modern requirements for work or rest. It features a comfortable cabin lighting system, large windows, and a wide aisle between seats.
On charter the Fokker 50 is a whole-aircraft option for 50–58 passengers on sectors of one to two and a half hours — football and rugby squads, crew changes to oil and mining sites, and tour groups — and it is still used in Europe, Africa and Australia on gravel and short runways that jets cannot reach. Very few remain on charter in North America, so for a US group of this size Monarch Air Group usually quotes an ATR 72 or Dash 8 turboprop, or an Embraer 145 or CRJ regional jet when speed matters more than runway length.
