The Praetor 600 is Embraer’s super midsize jet. With four passengers it flies 4,018 nm (about 4,620 miles), enough for London to New York nonstop. It seats eight as standard and up to 12. The newer Praetor 600E was certified in April 2026 and has a redesigned cabin.
Embraer Praetor 600 Charter Cost
As a larger jet with more range, the Praetor 600 usually costs more per hour than the Praetor 500. The exact price depends on the aircraft and your dates.
Flying from Las Vegas with the nearest jet in Van Nuys? You’ll usually pay to bring it over. A round trip on the same jet often costs less than two one-ways. Fees and taxes are extra.
Almost every Praetor 600 you can charter today is the original model. The first 600Es went to a fractional ownership program, and new orders won’t be delivered until 2029.

When the Praetor 600 Is the Right Choice
Pick the Praetor 600 if you need a super midsize jet that can cross the Atlantic nonstop. It’s a good fit for business trips with up to eight passengers and their luggage.
It’s also one of the smoothest rides in its class. Full fly-by-wire controls with Active Turbulence Reduction take the edge off rough air, and Embraer says no other jet in its class has that system. It can fly its full range from a 4,436-ft runway, so smaller airports closer to your destination are often an option.
For a group of more than 12, or a longer trip such as New York to Dubai, you’ll need a larger long-range jet.
Praetor 600 Range, Speed and Typical Routes
With four passengers and standard fuel reserves, Embraer rates the Praetor 600 at 4,018 nm at long-range cruise. That’s about 680 nm more than the Praetor 500. It cruises at up to 466 knots, has a top speed of Mach 0.83, and flies as high as 45,000 ft.
Here’s what that range covers without a fuel stop:
| Route | Distance | Typical flight time |
|---|---|---|
| New York (Teterboro) to London (Farnborough) | about 2,990 nm | 6.5 to 7 hours |
| New York to Geneva | about 3,350 nm | about 7.5 hours |
| Los Angeles (Van Nuys) to New York | about 2,130 nm | under 5 hours |
| London to Dubai | about 2,970 nm | about 6.5 hours |
| São Paulo to Miami | about 3,550 nm | about 8 hours |
Times are for calm air. Westbound over the Atlantic in winter, headwinds can add an hour or more, and with a full cabin, a fuel stop may be needed.
Praetor 600 Cabin, Interior and Baggage
The cabin has a flat floor and is 6 ft tall and 6 ft 10 in wide, so most people can stand up and walk around. At 45,000 ft, the cabin pressure is set to the equivalent of 5,800 ft. Aspen, by comparison, sits at almost 8,000 ft.
The seats recline into fully flat beds. The galley has a stone floor and can include a microwave, an oven, a refrigerator and a coffee maker. Wi-Fi uses Ka-band and Gogo AVANCE L5, depending on how the aircraft is equipped.
The 155 cubic feet of baggage and storage space is the largest in its class, according to Embraer, and part of it is reachable during the flight. Tell us about golf bags or skis when you ask for a quote, and we’ll confirm the layout of your aircraft.
What’s New on the Praetor 600E
The 600E flies just like the Praetor 600, with the same range, speed and cabin size. Embraer redesigned the inside.
The headline option is the Smart Window, a 42-inch 4K OLED touchscreen on the cabin wall. You can use it for video calls or movies, or for a live view from three cameras outside the jet.
Embraer re-engineered the seats for long flights, with adjustable cushion firmness and lumbar support, a headrest that moves forward and more legroom. They also fold into beds faster. A new cabin system lets you control the lighting, temperature and entertainment, by voice on some aircraft, and the galley has been redesigned to serve more meals on long trips.
On the flight deck, the 600E adds Embraer’s runway overrun awareness and alerting system. Regulators in the US, Europe and Brazil certified the 600E in April 2026, and Embraer delivered the first one that September.

Praetor 600 vs. Praetor 500
The two jets share the same cabin cross-section and cruise speed. The 600 flies farther and carries more people, and its engines produce about 1,000 lb more thrust each. The Praetor 500 needs less runway and usually costs less per hour, so it makes sense when your trip is within its range.
